Nate Allen, a cornerback on the Philadelphia Eagles who will be a free agent in a few weeks, was detained by police Monday, allegedly for masturbating in his truck in front of a girl.

Allen spent four hours in a holding cell.

And then, he was released … because police got the wrong guy. That’s assuming there was any guy at all.

Via CSN Philadelphia:

"A source close to the situation told CSN’s Derrick Gunn that Allen was stopped by a Fort Myers police officer shortly after eating at a Red Lobster. Allen was informed he was being accused by a 16-year-old girl of indecent exposure and was brought in for questioning. The incident allegedly took place near the restaurant. However, after the accuser changed her story several times, police concluded there was not enough evidence to charge Allen and released him."

Pretty scary police process down there in Fort Myers. The cops say there is still an “active investigation.”

Allen hasn’t been charged with a crime, and may have a lawsuit if police indeed got the wrong man.
