Bartolo Colon is the Opening Day Starter for the 2015 New York Mets

Bartolo Colon will turn 42-years old on May 24th. On April 6th, Colon will start opening day for the 2015 edition of the New York Mets according to ESPN New York. We spent a fair amount of time chronicling Colon’s first season with the Mets in 2014. He threw 202.1 innings for the Mets, went 15-13 with a 1.226 WHIP and became a U.S. citizen after the season, becoming the first New York Met to accomplish anything in October in over a decade.

I am personally very excited for another year of Colon pitching, fielding, swinging, hitting and base-running. Here’s to the 2015 Mets!
