Jonathan Taylor of Alabama was arrested for domestic violence III and criminal mischief on Saturday night in Tuscaloosa. USA Today has the details of the police report:

"The victim, a 24-year-old female, had “minor injuries to her neck from the assault.” The police report also stated that a bedroom door had a “hole punched in it.”"

This is not Taylor’s first alleged domestic violence incident — he was kicked out of Georgia last July after a police report said he choked his girlfriend and struck her with a closed fist before. When Taylor landed at Alabama this past January, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution quoted Nick Saban as saying that it was a “university decision” that “got made by a lot of people here.”

“We recruited this young man out of high school, and we felt that from what we knew about him, what his high school coach said, what the people at the school that he was at said about him, and where he came from in junior college, that he was the kind of guy that deserved a second chance,” Saban said. “But with that chance, we also have stipulations of things that he needs to do from a personal development standpoint so that he won’t make any kind of mistake like this ever again.”
