Jorge Posada is about to release a new book about his time with the New York Yankees under the title: “The Journey Home: My Life in Pinstripes.” To help drum up sales, Posada is making the rounds, including a stop on “CBS This Morning.”

Amazingly enough Posada took some time to bash former teammate Alex Rodriguez when asked if he should be included in the Hall of Fame. (Hey, anything to promote a book ahead of Father’s Day, right?) Per the New York Post, Posada was fairly blunt about it.

"“No, I don’t think it’s fair for the guys that have been in the Hall of Fame … who played the game clean,” said Posada. “I don’t think it’s fair, I really don’t. I think the guys that need to be in the Hall of Fame need to be a player who played with no controversy.”"

Posada likely earned himself another Yankeeography on the YES Network for this unsolicited A-Rod-bashing on national television. However, a penny for Posada’s thoughts about another former teammate, Andy Pettitte.
