There are good days on the golf course and there are bad days on the golf course. We recently saw Tiger have a bad day when he shot 85, the worst round of his professional career; that’s a bad day. There are also days on the golf course that will make you question whether life is worth it. Russian golfer Andrey Pavlov, who probably does own a dog, had one of those days. Pavlov scored a 17, you read that right, a SEVENTEEN, during the second round of the Lyoness Open, a European Tour event at the Diamond Country Club.

Don’t believe me? Here’s the leaderboard. That 17 is demoralizing, and on the first hole.

According to FOX Sports:

"Chris Gane also scored a 17 at Gleneagles 12 years ago, still three strokes less than Philippe Porquier’s record of 20 at the French Open in 1978."

I’m not sure how Pavlov didn’t end up throwing all of his clubs into the lake or at least re-enacting this scene from “Tin Cup” and finishing the round with just a seven-iron.
