Vanderbilt's Season Ends With Regional Loss and Silent Tribute to Donny Everett

Vanderbilt was eliminated from the College World Series on Saturday following loses to Xavier (15-1) and Washington (9-8) in the Nashville Regional. Vanderbilt was the host for the regional and they played on despite the loss of freshman pitcher Donny Everett who drowned on Thursday. It was an immediate and heartbreaking end to the season for Vandy, who was ranked #7 in the nation as recently as May 23rd.
LSU players were among those who paid tribute to Everett and LSU over the weekend.
