Cristiano Ronaldo Missed Penalty Against Austria

Portugal earned a penalty in the 79th minute against Austria. Cristiano Ronaldo missed it. The teams drew 0-0. Clear group favorites, both teams look in danger heading into the final round of matches. Portugal plays Hungary. Austria plays Iceland.
This looked like Ronaldo’s last, best chance to lead Portugal to international glory (he’s won it all at club level). It has not gone well for him. He made headlines, as a sore loser, against Iceland. Now, he misses the golden chance for a win against Austria.
He’s still Forbes’ highest paid athlete in the world, set to bring in about $88 million this year. So, don’t feel too bad for him.
