Jimmy Rollins Hit a Walk-Off Home Run, Told a Fan to "Shut the F up"
By Kyle Koster
Jimmy Rollins blasted a walk-off home run in the bottom of the 10th inning last night against the Miami Marlins. Instead of enjoying the parabolic view, the Philadelphia Phillies shortstop flipped his bat in the direction of a heckler and politely asked him to stop heckling.
Rollins repeatedly declined to say exactly what the fan said to him, only that it was “something pretty ignorant” and “a dumb comment.”
As we speak, millions of kids are out in their backyards dreaming of hitting a game-winning home run and cussing out a lippy spectator on their way to first base — a bold new take on an American classic.
