Jacob deGrom Lived Up to his #DeGrominant Billing at the All Star Game
By Mike Cardillo
Jacon deGrom didn’t waste time during his first All Star Game appearance. The shaggy-haired Mets pitcher mowed down Stephen Vogt, Jason Kipnis and Jose Iglesias in the top of the sixth on a mere 10 pitches. That sets a new All Star Game record.
Not bad, right?
This were his mph readings on his pitches: 97, 96, 96, 97, 98, 97, 98, 81, 83, 97. The only ball was a 98 mph fastball to Kipnis.
It even got renowned soccer announcer Ray Hudson to tweet about it ..
Meanwhile, Andrew McCutchen then blasted a long home run off Chris Archer to pull the National League to within 3-2 in the bottom of the sixth.
