Steve Smith Goes Down, Appears to Point At Achilles, Gets Helped Off Field [Video]

Steve Smith was helped off the field, and could not put any weight on his right leg after he was tackled by Chargers cornerback Jason Verrett. It appeared to be an Achilles injury, which hopefully is not as serious as it looked. Smith has announced he will retire after this season; NFL fans everywhere are hoping that this is not the last we have seen of him in his career.

It has been a brutal day in the NFL for injuries. We’ve also seen Reggie Bush, Khiry Robinson, and Le’Veon Bell get hurt.
