Ronda Rousey Had Beef With Paige VanZant For Congratulating Holly Holm Per Miesha Tate
Ronda Rousey cursed out Paige VanZant at a party because she congratulated Holly Holm according to Miesha Tate. Tate, the current UFC women’s bantamweight champion, relayed that story on Joe Rogan’s podcast today. VanZant then confirmed the story to TMZ:
"“It appears that I offended Ronda by congratulating Holly after her victory. The incident was very shocking and totally unnecessary.”"
Rousey has been quite emotional every single time we’ve heard from or about her since UFC 193 way back in November. Now we have this story which incorporates every big name in women’s MMA except for Cris Cyborg.
Tate will defend the title that Rousey once held at UFC 200. VanZant remains a top competitor on Dancing With the Stars. Holm will fight at UFC on FOX 20 in July. As for Rousey, she’s apparently talking again. We have no clue if we’ll next see her on Lifetime or in the Octagon.
In case you were wondering, Rousey and VanZant are in different weight classes, so any remaining beef will have to be settled at a future promotional event.
