Andrew Luck and Coby Fleener Took in the West Ham/Liverpool Match in London
By Mike Cardillo
Andrew Luck and Indianapolis Colts teammate Coby Fleener were special guests at Upton Park during Sunday’s West Ham United match against Liverpool. Look: they even got cool customized jerseys! Luck, it appears, is in London working an American football skills camp.
Luck’s love of soccer is nothing new. He grew up living in London and Frankfurt, Germany, while his father Oliver worked in the World League of American Football. Oliver Luck was also GM of the Houston Dynamo. He was among the numerous celebrities who helped model the new U.S. States National Team away kit, too.
In an interview with ESPN FC, Luck was coy about which team he supported having spent part of his life living near Arsenal’s old ground, Highbury. If Luck is actually an Irons fan — and that’s a big assumption — I’d have to give him credit for not being a total frontrunner. West Ham does have plenty of celebrity fans already among its ranks ranging from Russell Brand (and temporarily his ex, Katy Perry) to Nick Frost to Iron Maiden bassist Steve Harris.
My best guess is Luck went to the West Ham match to exchange beard tips with England international Andy Carroll afterward and the free jersey was an added bonus.
Meanwhile there is significantly less information on the Internet about Fleener’s passion for the non-American type of football
