Chiefs Fan Calls Into C-Span, Drops a Sabby Piscitelli Reference While Discussing Drone Strikes
By Jason Lisk
A caller from Missouri who identified himself as “Gonzo” (no doubt for Tony Gonzalez) phoned into C-Span to talk about drone strikes. It starts off sounding serious. Then he began to name-drop Chiefs and former Chiefs while discussing his concerns about the use of drones.
Bonus points for the Laurent Duvernay-Tardif reference. Duvernay-Tardif was one of the jersey selection options I included in my December Chiefs jersey post (ultimately getting an Eric Berry).
However, invoking Sabby Piscitelli’s brief and inglorious Chiefs’ career (“I could cite former U.N. member Sabby Piscitelli”) is probably worth of some type of justified torture. Piscitelli, by the way, is apparently trying to become a professional wrestler, so there’s a random nugget to come from all of this.
Ultimately, you shouldn’t speak out on drone strikes unless you have a viable alternative. Never fear. “In the end, I think there’s other methods that work better here in the John Dorsey era, such as paying Justin Houston or drafting a wideout.”
Now that’s how you C-Span.
