Landon Donovan’s eye became the immediate question everyone was asking on Twitter right before Tuesday night’s U.S. against Mexico in Columbus. ESPN’s Ian Darke mentioned it briefly, but didn’t offer an explanation. As if this game needed any more intrigue we toss in the ‘Mystery of Landon’s Eye.” Whoa.

By halftime expect three or four @LandonsEye Twitter accounts to spring up. Double that should the U.S. all-time leading goal scorer bag his 57th international goal.
