After 50 minutes of scoreless action, Germany and Ghana traded goals in a matter of minutes. Mario Götze’s tap-in from point-blank range was swiftly answered by Ghana’s Andre Ayew.
Ayew’s effort was more aesthetically pleasing, but less enjoyable for those with pro-American interests.
