San Francisco Radio Stations are Banning Lorde's "Royals" During the World Series

The ends justify the means, I say. According to a KMBC, a couple of San Francisco radio stations have already agreed not to play the song “Royals” by Lorde while the Giants are playing against the Kansas City Royals. KFOG and KOIT have both said they are temporarily pulling the song from rotation.
The song was inspired by a picture that Lorde saw of George Brett in a National Geographic magazine, and Lorde got a Brett jersey while in Kansas City earlier this year.
While the motivation may be dubious, the end result is that some San Francisco listeners will be Lorde-free for a few days.
