Joey Chestnut won his 8th consecutive Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest. Officially, Chestnut devoured 61 hot dogs. It came down to the wire, but Chestnut held off 22-year old Matt Stonie, the second-ranked competitive eater in the world. (56 hot dogs and buns) It was everything you want from a sporting competition on the 4th of July in Coney Island – The number 1 and number 2 ranked competitive eaters in the world, smashing hot dogs into their faces.
